"Hybrid work" is a strong contender for buzzword of the year. As with most buzzwords, the concept isn't new. And it means different things to different people.
We use it to describe a setup where employeesโ work schedule is split between home and office and/or staff is split between remote and onsite.
Whatever the combination of home and office, companies tend to feel strongly about which side they lean toward.
But it's not so much about being remote-first or office-first. It's about being experience-first.
Let's focus on the hybrid employee experience: the outcome of designing employee moments with onsite and remote scenarios in mind. We need to get past the theoretical stage and start creating hybrid workplaces employees love.
