It’s now been over a month since the situation in Ukraine escalated, and there are still thousands of people leaving the country every day in search of safety.
This should still be front of mind (despite the internet moving on to other face-slapping topics), and so again we’ll share HR for Ukraine on Notion - a collection of information to help companies, HR, and workers during this time.
In this week's newsletter, we’ll also look at:
đź’¬ Where women stand in the workplace, and why we need to keep talking about it
đź‘Ą How to know if culture-fit interview questions are holding your culture back
🏡 A wider view of why employees don’t think it’s the right time to return to the office
Grab a coffee and let's dive in.

REMOTE WORK
Should remote workers be paid less than in-office workers?
The debate on whether remote workers should be paid less than in-office workers is undoubtedly one of the most controversial – and relevant – topics in the world of work these days. This is mainly because the topic of remote work has become so prevalent. In this article, we break down both sides of the argument and offer Back's take on the issue.
How culture-fit interview questions might be harming company culture and diversity. Whether it's too early to bring everyone back to the office. There are a variety of non-work obstacles blocking people from wanting to return to the office, such as rising housing costs in the city vs. outside of it, COVID-19 risks, and higher employee power to ask for what they want. [Quartz]
